How it all began...

...and how it will all begin again.

That's how my journey into the weird, wonderful, and sometimes insane world of the Iron Kingdoms: with a copy of the Primal rulebook and a Legion of Everblight starter box.  The materials and techniques may have changed but the models remain very much the same.  I had friends who were playing Circle and Trolls at the time; nobody wanted to play Skorne so that didn't happen.  It was a time of happy memories and sad ones at the same time - I never got to be quite as good as any of my friends and they gave me a lot of shit for playing what was considered the powergamer's army at the time, which was honestly quite rich coming from the guys running the Madrak Brick and Krueger Wold Army of Doom.  By contrast, never in my entire career did I run a single Seraph Spam build.  Not one.  Well, not this time bucko.  I'll play whatever I damn well please and damn everyone else's opinion.

I remember I left my previous army on a train.  In one fell swoop I lost all my best painted models.  Fun times.

But I never thought anyone would play Hordes and Warmachine in the ass end of nowhere!  Just goes to show you, you can never judge a book by its cover.  They're even running a journeyman league too with separate scores for painting and game winning.  That's cool.  Very cool.  Not allowed to touch the brushes and paints for another 5 days but that's okay.  I can wait.
